Fairway: a live golf Spot the Ball platform
Fairway is a skill-based golf Spot the Ball game on PackOS, with coordinate prediction, entry limits, live competition timers and premium prize fulfilment.
The challenge
Spot the Ball only works as a skill competition if the judging is precise, transparent and auditable. Fairway needed accurate coordinate capture, configurable entry limits and scheduling, automated winner settlement, and prize fulfilment — structured to support UK skill-competition positioning.
The solution
Fairway runs on the PackOS Spot the Ball software. Each competition uploads an image with a defined winning coordinate; entrants use a zoom tool to place a precise marker, shown live as a percentage from left and top.
Entry limits, pricing and open/close windows are configured per competition. At close, entries are ranked by distance from the answer and the winner is settled automatically, with premium prizes — such as a TaylorMade Qi35 Driver — moving through fulfilment.
The result
Fairway demonstrates the second live PackOS product category: skill-based competitions running on the same infrastructure as pack opening, proving the platform is genuinely multi-module rather than a single-product tool.
